Flickr Tutorial

Okay, I know that some of you have seen pictures on Flickr
But I'm thinking that you haven't taken any. I'd like to explain how to take them because I think you are all beautiful ladies and should have a few of these pictures to share with people you know that enjoy your beauty. I think there are a few gorgeous portraits and a good portrait is hard to find. Or maybe I'm picky. Either way, you'll know how to download an entire picture with this post.

First, you have to join Flickr. You can do it for free and upload photos or not. As much involvement as you choose. All of my photos are downloadable to my friends/family (Cottey gals are FAMILY).

Second, find the photo you like. Yes, you'll have to download them one at a time. But you can do it whenever you want. They are there to stay and you can have as many as you like. The quality is good so you can have prints made or posters even.

Third, when you click on a photo there will be options on top. One of the options is "all sizes" when you click that you can choose what size you want to download.

A few more obvious clicks and the image is yours!

To sum it up,
1. join Flickr.
2. add me as a friend
3. choose photo
4. all sizes
5. download and have

Heather! Thanks for this post! I actually did try to download some yesterday but ended up with many shim gifs (the spacer images they give you to make you think you are downloading something even though you aren't). I will definitely grab some of the pictures. They are such great quality and capture moments so beautifully!

I got a chance to look through all the photos (and I love that they are categorized). I didn't want to take any without your permission, but now...! Thank you (and everyone else who took pictures)for the photos since I neglected to take any of my own. So which ones should I print in poster size for my guest bedroom?

*pout* i can't find the "options" thingy at the top of any photo page and it still only saves a blank image when i try to save something. what am i doing wrong? i'm far too much of a photo pirate to not steal as many of your beautiful pics as possible.

Hmm, are you looking just above the photo? It should be under the title, above the photo... It will say "all sizes".

Oh, and have you added her as family? Cause you have to be a family member to download. I see that Ryan, Susan, and Allyn are family. Anyone else??

Yeah, the family thing matters a lot. And maybe you could leave a comment . . . I totally love this photo! so glad it's mine Now!! Or something.

And you can add them as favorites. the more random favorites one has the more likely their photos get noticed by other photographers and such.

I really, really love photography and have debated many times about making a career change in that direction, so any credit you can give would be appreciated.

k, someone is smoking crack. added heather as a family member in my contacts, but there's still no "options" between the pic and the title, just the "add to favs" button. and i still just get a white image if i try to save. i swear i'm not this computer retarded. :o(

Hmmm, will investigate...

'gank' and 'shim gifs' are my words of the day.

I just want to say that I actually look like I have boobs in this picture, and I have no idea what any of this other talk is about.
