lynn wants in

would anyone be opposed to lynn getting on here as well? i've been sharing snippets of humorous posts and she'd like to have her own access. chime in with your opinion if you have one.

Hey Jules, Lynn is absolutely welcome to be on board! She can read all of the posts and comments and anyone in the world can add comments to a topic. The only limitation to the whole blog so far is that only the authors can start original topics, but once a topic has been started she should feel free to comment away!

I, personally, feel that the list of authors could be limited to Cottey girls. But! This is not personal to Lynn in any way, I think she's wonderful! I'm torn as the originator of the blog on how to keep a handle on things and not be too crazy restrictive or controlling. I've thought maybe it should be limited to class of 98, since that's the title of the blog, but we've already gone outside of that... so I just don't know.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'd like to hear other people's opinions so that we can all feel good about the blog. You know?
And please, please, please tell Lynn that this is absolutely not a reflection on her or really in any way related to her at all... just me trying to figure out the parameters of the blog. It's still a work in progress, as most of my thinking tends to be! :)

Kat, I just wanted to extend my hand in support (so you don't feel like you're hanging in the breeze).

I understand the need to retain some control over content, especially when there are already so many of us on here.

Don't feel too left out though lynn. The comments tool can be powerful, and really, that what this whole Web 2.0 is about. (omg, did I just use web 2.0 in a sentence?)

I have to agree, and I've been thinking about it for an hour or so. I'd feel the same if it were somebody's husband too. Leaving comments is a great way to be part of the fun and we should ENCOURAGE our friends and s/o to join in. The more the merrier!

thanks for chiming in. that's the whole reason i posed the question, cuz i kinda feel the same too. if we all started adding our partners, etc, it might get out of hand. absolutely no offense taken (on my part anyway. lynn's at work so i haven't told her any of this yet). so...you gotta be a cottey girl to be an author, but anyone can comment. sounds good to me. and yes, ryan, you really did say that. what on earth is web 2.0? :)

So the whole web 2.0 thing is post dot com bust and works off the concept that we use the web for interaction and feedback instead of just putting stuff out there. You know, social networking, blogs, photo sharing.

The parameters sound good to me. Can't you see everyone's non-Cottey partners making their own blog?
